One Year Later: The Funding Gap Remains

One year ago on July 17, Congress voted to rescind federal funding for public media, creating a permanent annual budget gap for PBS News.

That loss continues to affect our work today. As another consequential election season approaches, the need for reliable, fact-based news has only grown. Your support helps us respond to rapidly changing events and keep you informed every day. If PBS News reporting matters to you, please help us reach our goal of 500 donors.

Update: We reached our goal of 500 donors and that incredible momentum inspired our generous Friend of the News Hour to step up with a new $25,000 Triple Match. So, we're setting a new goal: 200 more donors by midnight tonight.
